Join the winning team; become a
member of the Pride & Poise Section at each
Oakland Raiders home game during the 2003 football
season. This Program targets middle schools in
the Oakland School District. It is a fun and exciting
program that creates an environment the entire
family can enjoy. The Pride, Poise and Academic
Program is a key incentive to motivating youth
to set, and achieve, personal academic and behavioral
goals.
Each Oakland area middle school
will set individual criteria to track the progress
of their students’ academics, and each successful
student will be awarded tickets in a special Pride
& Poise Section at the Oakland Raiders home
game. The Pride & Poise Section will be publicly
recognized at the end of the second quarter at
each home game. The program kicked-off at the
Oakland Raiders first home game (September 14,
2003), and continues throughout the season. The
Wednesday before each game, each confirmed school
will receive a confirmation letter with game day
instructions and group meeting (assembly) times.
This year there we have an exciting
incentive to the program. The student with highest
grade point average (GPA) of all the schools attending
the Pride & Poise Program (Sunday home games)
will be taken onto the field for the Raiders pre-game
warm-ups. Please note that this student must arrive
a one half hour earlier the group time.
